Washington D.C., March /(CNA) - The coronavirus pandemic has caused schools across the United States to close. With no clear timeline for when they might reopen, parents, students, teachers, and schools are finding innovative ways to balance distance learning and home life.
The coronavirus (COVID-19) was declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization last week, after spreading to more than 100 countries worldwide. In the U.S., there were more than 5,200 confirmed cases of the virus as of Tuesday afternoon.
The team at the Humanitarian Disaster Institute at Wheaton College just published a free coronavirus resource webpage for churches that includes a new preparedness manual, planning template, articles, and a free webinar series.
The resource webpage features recent HDI articles and media outreach to help equip churches for the coronavirus including “Preparing Your Church for Coronavirus (COVID-19): A Step-by-Step, Research-Informed, and Faith-Based Planning Manual” and “Coronavirus Church Planning Template.”
